So today I went to church. I really don't like saying I went to "church" because church isn't a place, its the people that build up the church. We are the church. If you want further information about how the people are the church (I didn't understand it at first) feel free to check out Acts. It's a wonderful book truly.
Today's sermon was about having Christ be the center of relationships. Even though I'm single, I found this sermon very beneficial to my life lately. We become so caught up in the busyness of life: school, work, cars, economy, news headlines, how to get the perfect look, weight loss programs, hair dye promising the best look, t.v., magazines, TMZ, horror stories, the weather, recipes, and everything else going on.
That we never even consider putting God in charge of the situation.
I really feel as if God is opening my eyes to see that hey, I'm putting things on top of Him when i should be completely devoted to Him and trust that whatever happens God is in control of my life.
As I go into my second week of this spiritual journey, I am now realizing that God is in control of my life. He is in control and deserves EVERYTHING I have to worship Him and Him alone. Amen.

Oh, Julia, this is so great. It's amazing what the Lord does. I'm going through this, and He put you and your blog in my life because we are going at it at the same time.
