It was a great time- full of laughter and memories that will last a lifetime. I personally love the movie Toy Story, but little did I know that there was an important life lesson to this.
When the world tells us that we are "just a toy", we can prove them wrong and do amazing things for God, through God.
I don't know about you, but I have been called that. Except for being called a toy, I remember being said "your just a girl" or "your just a beginner." I don't know about you, but that discourages me a lot. To know that there are so many awesome things to do and change the world and reflect Christ's love is awesome...but what isn't awesome is being told that we can't do this or do that because we are "just an..."
"Do not let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith, and in purity." 1st Timothy 4:12
On August 26,1920 the fight to allow women to vote was ended. When women were told that they can't vote because they are just women, they defeated that and fought for what they believed in and became an example to others to keep doing what they believe in, even if there are rocks along the path.
On January 15,1929 a world was changed forever. This was the birth of Martin Luther King Jr. A lot of people were against different colored skin and couldn't do things that others could "just because they were like that." Instead Martin Luther King Jr, through the grace of God, loved others who was against his color of skin. He showed them love instead of fighting with knives or verbally. He went through trials and tears, but never did he back down from wanting everyone equal.
These are two examples of people, through Christ's Unfailing Love, redid how the world stereotyped them and did many great things despite the world's view on them.

My main point of this blog is that when the world tells us that we can't do anything because of who we are, we can still do great things for Christ and glorify Him. We can change lives just by being an example for others in speech (by not cussing and encouraging others); in love (by loving others and being kind to them); in life (by looking at life happily and willing to go wherever Christ wants us to go); in faith (by trusting that God is always going to provide); and in purity (by waiting until marriage by remaining pure in the mind, body, and spirit).
By doing these, we can live past what the world thinks..and be who God wants us to be.
"I can do all things through Christ which strengths me."-Philippians 4:13
My prayer is that we don't depend on what others think of us, but instead with everything we have to honor God through the good and bad, and to be an example to others. Amen.
