Showered with love, reminded of blessings.

I've been singing the song "How He Loves" by David Crowder Band around the house quite a lot lately, and dwelling on the lyrics it really ministers to my soul. This week has been blessed, reuniting with friends, singing amazing songs, and having the opportunity to go to church AND a small group. But of course, the devil has been trying to tempt me, frustrate me, and stress me out. My diaphragm is still hurt but I'm seeing the light at the end of this tunnel. That's the thing that brings me in awe. You could be under the worst conditions ever, yet the Spirit inside of us is the thing that keeps us going. Isn't it amazing, knowing we can't do this by ourselves? Knowing that our God is big enough to cover all our hurts, fears,and hurdles in our lives? And even though He is so vast, His perfect love casts out all fear? It brings me tears of joy!

Lately God has reminded me of how great He is and how blessed I am. I mean, I am so blessed to be at home wearing my c28 shirt and skinny jeans, watching abc7 news and writing this blog as my mom cooks dinner. Half the things I listed kids around the world don't get to experience everyday! And I took them for granted! God has opened my heart to what is really breaks His and it's my prayer to faithfully obey Him. God has blessed me with incredible friends, and in every circumstance He's provided me true friends to go through everything together. God has blessed me with the best family imaginable. Whether its my Mom, Dad, 3 sisters, 2 brothers, or 3 dogs I really realize how blessed I am to do life with them. It's my prayer to be the best sister and daughter I can ever be. God has blessed me with the opportunity to get an education. God has blessed me with beautiful clothes to wear. God has blessed me more than I can ever, ever imagine.

But the best blessing of them all, is my sweet, sweet Jesus. The fact that He would come into this world to serve others blows my mind. I mean, He's GOD! He created the Earth that He would walk upon and the people that would eventually crucify Him, and yet He still loves us. He still decided to serve in humility. He still wanted to die for me, even though I've sinned against Him. Even though I was the prodigal son. It's incredible how much He loves us! His coming into the Earth and becoming Jesus was an unfathomable generational gap and He just...did it. See that beautiful sky outside? He painted that for you. See that opportunity in front of you? He wants you to use your talents that He designed for you for His Glory. Feel that warm hug right now, no matter what you're going through? He gave that to you from His Spirit.

Guess what? You're saved. Guess what? You're beautiful. Guess what? You're free.
