Hello everyone! This is the first blog post of Julia's blog. [[]]. Today at church, Jesse let all the kids worship with the teens. I felt somewhat....embarrassed. And it made me wonder, is everyone like that way? It's like we are wearing a mask, to hide our imperfections. So what I am as stiff as a board when it comes to worshiping? Jesse talked to us last week about this subject. He said that if anything is holding us back, get rid of it. He told us that he may not be the best singer in the world, but when we all come together, we all make this big and beautiful sound. So today, my goal this week, is not be afraid. Not be afraid of worshiping Jesus. So what if we get made fun of? Like in the song "Undignified" by David Crowder Band...nothing Lord is hindering this passion in my soul.

I really like this blog. Probably because it reminds me of myself. I love to worship but lately I have been kinda scared too. Sometimes though it just means that Jesus wants you to take the effort to draw closer to Him. Jesse is right to let it all go. So what if the kid next to you laughs or makes fun because they aren't making fun of you...they are making fun of God. I would hate to be that kid. One other thing dont be scared because God gave you an amazing voice and you should use it to your full abilities. I know I am not one to talk about that but I believe with all my heart that worship is what makes you stronger in Christ...so just go for it.
