Whenever I have a bad day at school or what not, I know my day can get so much better with mom's homemade garlic bread.
You may think this is a really deluxe recipe, full of this and that, and that and this, you're wrong.
It is easily created with a piece of bread, garlic, and a toaster oven, which is proof that this simplest things matter the most.
You see, when I was little, I would HATE spaghetti. Even to this day I despise it sometimes. I don't know what happened or whatever, but now I like love it.
Oh wait, I know what happened.
Mom's homemade garlic bread. MMM.
It would start out as an ordinary day, school, homework, and friends tire me out and I spend the rest of my day on the computer, probably I'Ming my BFF's, wiping my eyes from being very tired, then I hear the magic words.
"Juicy, dinner!"
I sit down after setting the table with paper napkins and forks, and a steaming checkered plate design sets on my Build A Bear placemat as my mom clumps tomato sauce and noodley goodness, and my favorite part.
Mom's homemade garlic bread.
We pray, I twirl the spaghetti like a 5 year old girl in ballet class dreaming to be a ballerina in a lovely pink tutu, and slowly place it in my mouth.
Me and my brothers and sisters make easy conversation, talking about such and such like how school went, ect.
I well, rinse, lather with more iced tea, and repeat and until we get to my favorite part.
Mom's homemade garlic bread.
MMM.
I eat and enjoy and go on for seconds/thirds/fourths, ect.
Until next time when my loving mom will say " I'm making garlic bread and spaghetti for dinner.
♥
If you couldn't already tell, I was trying to write a "descriptive piece on something that means a lot to you"
