Dreams when I was a little(er) girl....

When I was around 7 my heart was set on becoming a vet and helping animals.
Around the age 9/10, I HAD to be a professional ballet dancer complete with toe shoes and a tutu. I remember one time actually I wanted to be my own version of Hannah Montana.
Then there was the phase where horses were my ultimate love.
And the office-girl phase where I was obsessed with my own little magazine and everything.
And then the Mulan phrase, obsessed with everything Mulan and determined to become her one day.

My point is that while we are changing and constantly learning about ourselves and learning who we are, God never changes. Ever. Ever.Ever. He still loved us while we were lost without Him. He still has open hands for us when we leave Him. He still has compassion for us when we sin. He has unconditional love and faith in us when it feels like we can't get past 2nd period. He listens to us when we make no sense. He cares for us and will never leave nor forsake us.  He still loved us when He sent His Son on a wooden cross to die for us. Let's dwell upon that for a minute. When I was a little girl, I hated sharing my toys. If someone ruined my toys, oh my goodness I would be so upset for days. God is NOT like that. He did it out of love; not of hate. He didn't throw a temper tantrum about Him giving up His Son to die for us, but He did it out of love and compassion for us. I find that so very amazing. :)

The point of this post is to show that when it feels like we are in such a mess that we find impossible, unsure of what we are going to be when we grow up, scared about what is happening currently/past/present, money, populars, friends, temptations, weather, school  troubles, sickness, marriage, waiting, and more...
GOD NEVER CHANGES. He will still greet us with open hands and compassion and unconditional love through the good, bad, and the gosh darn ugly. <3
