Mosquitoes. Has anyone ever asked you to learn a life lesson from these little suckers?
Probably not. If so, you get to learn it again. =)
First to clear things up I am not talking about the blood sucking part. Ew ew ew ew.
What I mean to say is like these little bugs, we need to be drawn in the light in awe. We need to set our focus on God and never look back. To be drawn in awe. To constantly desire to be with Him. Sometimes it feels like we could be a leaf bug and hide away. But we must be drawn to the Light and not into the world. <3
There are two key ways I desire to talk about tonight: prayer and devotion.
A. PRAYER
How awesome is it that we can talk to God on a daily basis? We get to know Christ through prayer and develop a relationship with Him. It is so comforting and I love it. We can pray for wisdom and humbleness to be drawn in the Light and really focus on Him. We CANNOT be drawn in the light without prayer because that is what develops the relationship with God.
B. DEVOTION
By remaining strong on Scripture and devotion, we can be drawn in the light. I recently finished Romans and is on 1st Corinthians. Yippee! If you are just starting out in the Bible, I recommend one of the Gospel Books first (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John) so we can learn about Jesus' life and useful parables. If we remain in Scriptures, we can listen to God's Word for wisdom and strength when the going goes tough.
Dear God,
Please help us stay in Your Light Father and not into the world. Please give us the strength to remain in prayer and devotion to stay in Your Light. You are so amazing Lord. Thank you for the resources to blog and the time to do so. Please bless everyone reading this blog that they stay in the light and that they can share the Light with others. Thank you for today Father, for it is beautiful and unique. Let us not think it is an ordinary day, but opportunity to live out Your Will. We love you Lord.
In Jesus' Name,
Julia Lynne
I hope this post encouraged you to live in the Light. (: Have a wonderful day!
