fructuous: fruitful; productive.
I have heard the question over and over again: If you were stranded on an island with only one sort of food, what would it be? Now that I come to think of it, I honestly do not know if I would survive with only one sort of food.
The reason why I say this is because how boring would it be if we had one type of food to live on. That's like saying a ballet dancer must go on pointe, but with only one shoe. It's hard to do. It's boring.
We need to re-change this and become fructucous meaning not just limiting ourselves by sticking to the same kind of life: go to school, do homework, eat dinner, and go to bed. Or even limiting ourselves to the same kind of friends.
But this is the best part: we aren't doing it alone. When I said not limiting ourselves I understand that seemed blunt. But we have no reason to be afraid because the Almighty God, who created you and me, who sent His Son to die and rise again on a wooden cross for us, the one who loves us unconditionally is helping us. Wow.
Instead of waking up and going through the motions, let's begin by asking God how to make it His day and not ours. Instead of pick-and-choosing friends, let's look around and see who needs love and encouragement, and continue to lift up others who maybe just need some uplifting. Let's become fructuous on our walk with God.
Dear God,
We come to You Father today for strength to bear the fruits, and not just limit ourselves. Please strip us of our pride and make us yours. You are Holy, and we are undeserving of the love you gave for us and continue to give today. Please guide us through becoming fruitful because we certainty cannot do it without You. Thank you for being a light in this darkness, and continuing to help us through the obstacles we face on a daily basis. Please bless all the readers of this blog, whatever they are going through that they will trust in You and You Alone. To your name be all the glory!
In Jesus's Flawless and Perfect Name,
Amen.
