2nd Period- Our choir is working on the classic song "Star Spangled Banner." When I sing it it really is powerful, because our troops are amazing and I think lately I have been underestimating that. More importantly, I have God helping me through everything that this nation goes through and will go through. He's telling me not to worry. When it feels like the best of you is waiting to begin, remember that the Lord your God, who rose from the dead, who gave us eternal life, who created us, is dwelling in us. So don't worry about tommorow....God is already there. No matter what things are going on around us, be it earthquakes or economy, let's remember that God is helping us through it. <3
3rd Period: Our routine rocks. Enough said. :) My team is so supportive of everyone's ideas and I think that is what makes a good routine..a happy team and a good attitude. I enjoyed the sunny weather and the slight breeze..great weather for a period of jump-roping surrounded by your best friends. :)
4th Period: Everyone in my class has to come up with a movie poster for either Henry the 8th or Martin Luther so I chose Henry the 8th. I decided to make a parody of The Bachelor, and it looks hilarious so far! I love doing creative projects because then you really get to think outside the box, making it more enjoyable for me.
5th Period: We got in groups today. Whitney and Naz was here today! I was so happy because Whitney recently had foot surgery/bronchitis. She is such a sweet friend, it was hard to imagine her feeling so sick. She said she is feeling majorly better which is good. In our groups, we were working on a packet and a worksheet, but got distracted because some of us were craving goldfish crackers. To help the craving me and Naz said at the same time," The snack that smiles back!" It was hilarious.
6th Period: Math test today. I prayed before the test, it made me feel better to know that a God who loves me so much is taking care of me. Then I began the test. I won't say it was easy, but I took the time to work out every problem and was very cautious of my answers. With knowing that, I felt confident because whatever grade I get, I can have the feeling of hard work done at least trying to get the answers right.
7th Period: Did some test-taking skills. It actually wasn't as bad as I thought it would be--I mean this stuff is important if I want good grades and skills to use later down the road. I understand that might seem corny- but I actually want to respect my teachers instead of complaining--having a willing heart to obey my parents, teachers, and most of all God.
After school, I didn't go to Bible Club. This morning I wasn't feeling very well, and I wasn't feeling up to staying after-school. I just kinda wanted to go home but next week I am going. :-)
Thankfully I was feeling MUCH better around 4:00 so I went outside to dance/do flips. My sister came with me and taught me how to do a backbend. I was hesitate at first because it requires trusting that my back will be safe, but after much procrastination I did a backbend.
Well I am getting off so I will "blog you later" :)
