The first part of the chapter talks about how we could do all these things and feel accomplished, but if we don't have love it is a waste. It also made me think... am I doing works with love or am I doing it for my own use? Am I using my gifts to honor God and His love, or am I doing it for my own good? This beginning really helped me to see my motives behind the things I do and realize I need to do it for God.
The second part of the chapter is about what love is. Love is patient, love is kind. We have all heard that before right? Well I replaced love with God's love, realizing that that IS what love is. Then I was thinking about how we can't just acknowledge that He loves us and move on, but instead strive to be like God's love and be a light for the Kingdom. When they say love is patient, ect. it isn't just a cute thing for weddings and scrapbook themes, it's a way to live our lives. Instead of being impatient when we are waiting for 'the one', we can have God's Love and be patient and willing to wait instead of finding reasons why it's a bummer. Ya know what I mean? Anyways that Bible study was...life changing.
Now on with Day 22 . . .
1st Period- We worked on our paper mache flowers. Today was the last day to do it, and I was so close. :( Oh well, I could do it later like before school or something like that. Flowers truly are a beautiful thing- full of diversity and colors and shapes and sizes. God is an awesome and beautiful God, He is the creator of the universe! <3<3<3 2nd Period- Eep! Guess what? Ok, you can stop guessing. :) We have a performance next Tuesday. Sure, it's only for 10 minutes and we still have a lot of work to do..but you gotta love the thrill of performing and the proud look on the audience and the choir director's face. It feels so good, and it makes you really reflect on how much you wanted to perform so you continued at it, no matter how much you had to give up or how much your stomach hurts from singing. It feels great! 3rd Period- We did our jump rope routine. We were jumproping close to the ground and I kept falling. :O Then we were all being dorks and my friend accidentally hit me with her jump rope. I wasn't mad because I was laughing too hard to even think about being mad. That was so much fun but we won't be doing it tomorrow because we have Picture Day during P.E. Picture day is fun... 4th Period- First we had to do this Crossword. Mr. Pena said that because we were Honors we weren't allowed to look in the book. It was so funny because we were all like "WHAT!!". But then we were allowed to use our book and then the bell rang! lol. 5th Period- We were in groups again. We actually did a lot of work today. If we finish two more pages, we get to make a college. If you know me well, I am OBSESSED with making colleges. I love finding the right memories to take me back and rethink of those times, of inside jokes and funny stories and combining them with paper and other scrap-booking things so I will have a blast with this. 6th Period- We worked on Testalations. I actually got pretty far on it, I just had to color it which took over an hour! wow! I decided to make it lions and bushes, and I ended up calling it "I'm not lion, its a bush!" Clever, eh? :) 7th Period- We went over Selection Support for the week, and I finished some of it. When Mr Desrochers came to collect the homework from Friday, I meant to say "I did it in orange paper!" all excited but it came out all like guilty sounding. That was super duper funny! I was laughing about it too, instead of beating myself up for it, so the situation felt better. :D

P.S Check out my sister's blog here!
Her latest series, Be Beautiful is really helping me realize how naturally and beautifully God created us, and how we don't need artificial improvement. Designing her series button was oodles of fun! :)

Hey Julia! The 1st part about love....it was great. I love the love chapter, and God has changed my perspective on it too. Also, I thought it really was clever when you said "I'm not lion, it's a bush." !!! I totally get it. Well, see ya!
Cool, I've posted your request. Maybe you could tell your friends about it too. I'll post anyone's request.
I'm glad you like the verse, feel free to use it. I sure don't have any authority over the bible. And you can do the tag if you want!

You have a great way of looking past the surface of things. Yes, Corinthians is more than just a nice sentiment to say at weddings and what not, it really is about the importance of love being the driving force behind our actions and also behind Gods and why he blesses us the way he does. Keep allowing the Holy Spirit to reveal Gods nature to you and pray for those who have not yet had the chance. God Bless and much love.
