wow! can you believe today is already day 8? its going by so fast, but it is so wonderful at the same time. This is truly a learning experience for me. (:
First Period: We started to look at our plants. Candy (one of our plants) is starting to germinate, but Pickles and Cupcake is still taking a while. Sometimes it can be frustrating, waiting for my little plants to grow, but I know in the long run they are going to beautiful because they are God's wonderful Creation.<3
For the remainder of the class, we did notes and review on non-vascular plants and how they produce. I love science because there is so much to learn, and you can truly see the diversity that God created for all His Creations instead of picking 1 type of bird, gender, tree, laughs, eyes, colors. We have such a wonderful God!
Genesis 1:11 "Then God said,"Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it , according to their various kinds." And it was so."
Second Period: There was a substitute named Mr. Sir. He was pretty strict so I was trying to keep a happy attitude about his rules and try to keep them. We watched Hotel For Dogs. I love that movie...it is too cute. Emma Roberts is an awesome actress. Seriously if you have not seen that movie, you should. lol just kidding.
Third Period: I heard that we had to do push-ups today, so in the locker room I prayed for strength that even if I can't do them, I would still be happy. Push ups are really hard for me because of how low you have to go, and I'm often better at crunches. We didn't end up doing the push ups because it was an optional thing, so I just went straight to my paddle tennis game. It was hard playing paddle tennis today. I don't know what got into me today, I just couldn't play. I guess it was just one of those days. I am so happy that my teammate is so understanding and sweet. When P.E. ended, I changed but realized my shirt was on backwards...ooops! So as I was changing back in the bathroom, I dropped a little note, sort of like a tract, that explains on how beautifully and wonderfully made we are. I pray that whoever got it, their eyes will become opened.<3
Fourth Period: We worked on the time-line from 1400's-1700's. Mr Pena really wants to push us because it is almost the end of the year (Today was the first day of the 3rd trimester.) Which means lots of tests and homework, so please pray for me. Our first test is on Thursday, so I better start studyin'! We are having a class party next Friday and our theme is "Food that is bigger then it is supposed to be"....this will be fun.♥
Fifth Period: Our class is reading this story about not receiving the sun. I know I would be so sad if I didn't have the sun in my life. But the sun shining outside is not the sun I am talking about. What I am talking about it the True Light- Jesus. He brings me warmth when my heart is cold, and shade when my enemies are blocking my eyes.
Psalm 18:28 "You O Lord keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light."
Sixth Period: In Math we are currently learning how to do linear plots. It's sort of complicated, but I get how to like graph it and stuff which is good. I'm just really trying my best and not giving up when I don't get the perfect grade, and praising Him through the A+ or the D-. After all, He has always been there for me. (:
Seventh Period: We did Selection Support. We have 9 pages due next Tuesday. I got around 4 pages done today which is good. And you will find the irony in this, but we read the same story we have been focusing on in Language Arts about the sun. That was so cool. I enjoyed reading it again because it is a really good story.
Well this concludes my school day today. Tomorrow is Bible Club so I will keep you guys posted on that. My mom is making dinner right now, so I am still indecisive about blogging again today. idk. Have a wonderful day tomorrow everyone! Keep me posted on your day as well, I'd love to hear about it.<3
