marching through march day 9

1st Period: We worked on some notes and review. Nothing really too exciting in this period.
2nd period: We started to work on some basic songs for our up and coming performance at the end of the month. Please pray for my teacher, he has been having really bad back and stress related problems. God is the ultimate doctor and I know that my teacher is going to be okay.<3
3rd Period: I am smiling as I write this: our team won the championships! Praise God! It was so funny because our team won by 1 point, and it was our first win. I feel so happy because we can now end the unit with a smile and the feeling that Christ was with me while I was frustrated with not hitting the ball and even when I was rejoicing over our win. Thank you Father for always delivering when I need help and catching me when ever I fall. To Your Glorious Name all the glory!
4th Period: Our class got in a pretty heated discussion about the difference between Catholics and Christians. I really felt as if God was calling me to say the verse in Romans about confessing that Christ is Lord you are saved, but I didn't. Please pray for me that if tomorrow we also talk about it, I can say things with the strength of the Lord. There was a girl named Alexis in our class, and she was fearless about talking about Christ, and I see myself becoming very close to her so we can help each other. =)
5th Period: In Mrs. Jarvis's we worked on analogies. They are fairly easy, partly because I blog so much with analogies so it is easier to relate to it then straight-forward stuff. =)
6th Period: I had a really really hard time focusing in math today, my mind kept drifting off. I really need to get my head in the game and try with all my mind and soul to get the problems done. I am going to pray for focus and concentration.
7th Period: We read this story about cowboys. Yes I know pretty random. But it really did make me look beyond the status-quo of cowboys. They are afraid too, mainly of stampedes which I didn't know. We were also talking about the future and universities. I personally see myself at a Christian college, wanting to write devotionals and other books and then helping people with Down Syndrome..however it's not up to me..it's up to God and I will be open to any opportunity He gives me.
Speaking of open opportunity, our school is having an event where we can learn how to public speaking. I find it especially awesome because I have been praying to God for strength to overcome my comfort zone. There are opportunity to earn between $50 and $100, and with that money (if I win) I really want to make care packages for soldiers and give a Build A Bear to a Cancer patient. So tomorrow I'm going to get a form just to check it out and see what it is about, and then whatever happens I will praise Him.<3 What do you think?

Tomorrow is Day 10 meaning 21 days left. The thing is, this series will never end. Sure I may not be posting everything that happens, but lately I have come into realization that God's love for me throughout the weeks, months, years, and decades will always get me through the day no matter what happens.

Hi Julia!
You've been doing such a great job with this new series you started. I've really enjoyed reading through all your posts... They've been great! It was definitely a wonderful idea to start it. :) ...And I'm so glad that y'all won the championships! How exciting!! :D

I know what you mean about having to get out of your comfort zone! I'm a shy person so it's hard for me to want to speak in front of many people. But the Lord has definitely been working on me in that area over the past couple of years. :) Anyway, I think that sounds like a really great idea to send care packages to soldiers and a Build-a-Bear to a cancer patient. What a blessing that would be! I'll be praying about that opportunity for you! :)

Thank you so much for asking if I would like prayer, over at my blog. I know I already left you a comment there, but I wanted to make sure and tell you here as well. :) Yes! I would love for you to keep my family in your prayers. Right now we're going through quite a bit with my Dad's health and this new diet/therapy we're starting, so I definitely appreciate you praying. And if you don't mind, I will do the same for you! :) If there are ever any certain requests you'd like me to be praying about, just let me know! (I'll remember to pray for your teacher too! :) Anyway, thank you so much!

I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday. :)

~Love,
Taylor

PS: Oh, my... Sorry for leaving such a lengthy comment! LOL!

I started public specking in the 7th grade and have been terrified of it, but hey, 4 years have gone by with millions (exaggeration added!) of presentations, and I can't say I'm a pro, but the Lord has helped me be more comfortable while I'm up there! I sorta shy, like Taylor said in her comment, and need help with the whole comfort zone thing. Well, great post Julia, keep em up!!
