Wow! Day Two already here. It feels so weird. Well, there is nothing to it but to do it so let's begin.
Morning: I actually didn't want to wake up this morning. After pretending it was Saturday and moaning and groaning I finally got up. Then I got dressed really fast, checked my email, and got ready for school. I was ready to go to school..but not alone.
1st Period: Ahh! We had to take a CST Writing Exam today. I was very nervous. After praying 3 times for a clear heart and open mind, I began the exam trusting that the Lord is holding my hand throughout this experience. I finished the exam early and because of God's help I feel pretty confident on my essay..and whatever score I get I will praise Him.
2nd Period: We started singing. I have good news by the way. Today in choir I didn't complain or write sentences. Woot-woot! Our choir actually sounded really good today. I believe we can apply choir to our lives spiritually. When we are a church family and all help and stick together, we sound amazing. It's a duet where we cannot do it alone..and we aren't alone...Christ is with us. So bring on the 8th Notes! Bring on the hardest songs! We have God..the best choir director ever and will help us throughout whatever.<3 It's weird it's like I always learn a life lesson in choir. =)
3rd Period: Before going in the locker room, I prayed that if I cannot hit the ball, I would still remain a positive and happy about it. I got change uber-fast and we began basically playing paddle tennis. I managed not only to get some awesome shots in, but I kept a happy and positive attitude.
Then came the push up test.
I personally cannot do pushups to like save my life. lol. I did 3 pushups and still had a happy attitude..I just want to thank God for giving me the strength for me to remain happy and not snobbish after this experience. God definitely deserves all the glory. Amen.
4th period: Before working on the exam, I prayed to God again for wisdom and a focused mind. With the peace of knowing He is right there with me holding my hand as I go through these questions. I finished the exam early and actually worked on the notes for this post. lol. There were some questions about Jesus and I found that interesting..so now you know that random piece of knowledge.
Lunch: It started off being a normal lunch..eating lunch talking to my friends about the exam..ect. But a little message on my phone made my day. It was a message from my mom telling me to have a glorious day and that I am going to do just great on that exam. It was amazing, whenever you feel so crappy and can't go on, your family cheers you up. Thank you mom for the inspirational today. You are so amazing!
5th Period: I did my work with all that I can with a happy attitude..thank you Lord for the strength to do so I couldn't have done this without You Father. I thanked God for a classroom and supplies. We are so lucky to go to school and have an opportunity to learn and grow. We Americans are so impeccably lucky to be able to have things to read, write, do math, and just learn. =)
6th Period: I started the period tired and complaining, then stopped because I realized that what I was doing. Before the Math Exam began, I prayed that I would still praise Him no matter what I get on the test good or bad. With that, I finished the exam early and with confidence that He is always there for me.
7th Period: We read the book My Brother Sam is Dead. I paid attention and really focused.
Bible Club: I met a friend named Crystal. She is a new Follower of Christ. We have choir together but I never bothered to get to know her. She has such a big heart.
With all my experiences today, I think I realized that even when we have to do exams God is still there for us. That is just plain breathtaking. (:
I believe God placed Crystal in my life for a reason so I am going to be her friend, and through the strength of the Lord, help her in this new experience and build each other up.
I also learned that I cannot do this alone, but because of Christ I have the strength to not just go through the motions, but make every single day praise for Him.
I think I am ready for Day 3.
In Christ's Love,
Julia Lynne
