There are days where we feel a lot like Mr. Bill

There are going to be days where we feel a lot like Mr. Bill. What I mean by this is that we are going to be in situations where we begin to be afraid...and say "Oh no!".
"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave nor forsake you." -Deuteronomy 31:6
You have to remember, when reading this is that Moses is 120 years old! When your old, it is probably really hard to lead people to the Jordan River. So God is telling Moses not to cross the river, but instead God is going to destroy the nations in front of them, and then we can take possession of the land. Joshua was told that HE is going to divide the land into each fair possession. That's a lot to take in, but everything is assured that God will provide in Deuteronomy 31:6.
Yes, there are going to be lots of days we feel like Mr. Bill. Being a Jesus-follower is tough. It requires sacrifices and strength only God can provide us with. But also being a Jesus follower..is more glorious then any of us can imagine.
Are you feeling like Mr. Bill? Do you need the strength of the Lord to let us know it will be okay, and that God is helping us throughout anything whether good or bad. If so, pray this prayer will me:
Dear God,
Lord we come here feeling a lot like Mr. Bill. The things of this world might intimidate us, but nothing compares to the strength that you give us to withstand it. Please strip us of our pride, as we come here tonight to praise Your Glorious Name with all that we have. Please help us be strong and courageous. Please help us live our life not on our own, but for you Father. Thank you for never leaving me or forsaking me, even when I deserve it. I love you so much Father. Amen.

Now with all that we have, let's sing this song to close out today's blog:
You called my name
Reached out Your hand
Restored my life
And I was redeemed
The moment You entered my life

Amazing grace
Christ gave that day
My life was changed
When from my shoulders
Fell the weight of my sin

So it's with everything I am
I reach out for Your hand
The hope for change
The second chance I've gained

On You I throw my life
Casting all my fears aside
How could greater love than this
Ever possibly exist

Consume my thoughts
As I rest in You
I'm now in love
With a Saviour
Bearing the marks of His love

So I'll wait upon You now
With my hands released to You
Where a little faith's enough
To see mountains lift and move

And I'll wait upon You now
Dedicated to Your will
To this love that will remain
A love that never fails
Amen.

I needed that prayer right here and now. Thanks Julia, for another "inspiring and uplifting post", as Lloyd put it!
