Part 3 of He'll Come

**Note: I am SO sorry for slacking in this series. I've been sorta busy, and there were some posts I wanted to do really badly. :) ***
"I waited patiently for the Lord,
He turned and heard my cry,
He lifted me out of the slimy pit,
out of the mud and mire;
He set my feet on a rock,
and gave me a new place to stand.
He put a new song in my mouth,
a hymn of praise to my mouth.
Many will see and fear and put their trust in the Lord." -Psalm 40:1-3

Ok, so the last part of this Psalms is just AWESOME! "He set my feet on a rock and gave me a new place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to my mouth. Many will see and fear and put their trust in the Lord." I'm going to go over it piece by piece so we can really dwell upon the awesomeness of how God lifted us out of the pit and changed our attitude from negative, to positive.
"He set my feet on a rock, and gave me a new place to stand."
Before I first became a follower of Christ, my life was unstable. I think we can all relate to this. Because I so badly wanted the things of the world, my life was unsteady because your always hopping from place to place, wondering who will actually love you and want to care for you.
Jesus truly is my Rock. He mentions so many times in the Bible that He is our Rock Eternal. To me that means so much to me. We don't have to travel from place to place..because God is our Home! He is a firm Rock to stand on to depend and trust in Him.
"He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to my mouth."
When we first receive Jesus Christ as our Personal Love and Savior, our attitude goes from blah to blessed. I'm not saying anything gets any better and we get a force field from all things bad, but instead we receive the Holy Spirit to give us a new attitude on these things, a new perseverance and a new attitude. If maybe you are struggling with this, I suggest you open your Bibles to Matthew 5, "the Beatitudes." The Holy Spirit is in us to impact our daily decisions. To be someone you can rely on. To change our song from dreary to praise. He gives us the encouragement we need, instead of falling back on our old ways.
"Many will see and fear and put their trust in the Lord."
When I hear this verse, what comes to mind are two things: the joy that you feel when someone (or yourself) commits their life to Christ, and also Revelations. I think of the joy when someone commits their life to Christ because its just so..overpowering! To think that this person, whether you know them or not, is going to be our brother or sister in Christ is AWESOME! It just makes me want to go up to everyone who made that decision and just encourage them. We are all connected by Christ, and by that we all see and fear and put all of our trust in God.
It also makes me think of Revelations. In Revelations 4:8 it says "Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with eyes all around, even under his wings. Day and night they never stop saying: "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come." Wow! Just to imagine all of us, connected in Heaven all singing praises to our Heavenly Father, and never stop singing about how awesome God is. Isn't that such an amazing, breathtaking thought?

My prayer is that we can all put Psalm 40 into our hearts and remember that Christ listens and hears our crys, and lifts us out of that slimy pit of sin, and gives us a renewed attitude. Amen and God bless!
