What would you bring?

According to the NFPA, in 2002 there were approximately 350,000 residential fires in the United States. Thinking about these statistics, if you were one of those house fires, what would you bring when evacuating? Would you bring worldly treasures, or maybe a Bible for guidance? We often get so weighed down by material things that we forget the presence of God in our hearts. God wants Him to be Number 1 in our lives. So I ask you: what would you bring in a house fire? Interested to hear your thoughts.

Ever since I was little, I feared our house would burn down. So I packed all the things important to me, and set them near my bedroom door. The fire never came. And as I grew older, I've always thought about what I would take with me in case there was one in our new house.

Yes, I've thought about taking my Bible. I also think I would take my journals. Those are important because I can't rewrite what's in there. I wouldn't grab my phone. I wouldn't grab my mp3. I wouldn't even grab my purse. I would grab pictures, journals, and yes...my Bible.
