You are beautiful :)

We live in a world where fake beauty is everything. Society defines beauty as getting the perfect hairstyle, wearing that perfect outfit, getting that hottie, and keeping your emotions in. It seems like freedom to do what you want, but really you are chained by material things. How do I know that?

Well let me share a little story here. Before I seriously started to follow Christ, I was a wreck. I did everything I could to make myself beautiful. I wore shorter dresses in the summer, spent hours picking out a cute outfit, wanted to dye my hair, and wanted to wear contacts. Although it seemed awesome at first. It made me feel wanted and cool for acting like a teenager. But now that I realize it, it did more harm then good. I remember getting allergic reactions from all the glitter stuff I wore on my face, spent nights crying because I felt ugly, snapping at siblings and parents, and even attacking my friends because of their fashion choices or even just sheer jealously. I was broken and hurt. But now that I've let Christ the center of my life. I've let these things go and sought forgiveness from God. I've laid them at the foot of the cross, and moved on.

It breaks my heart to see people who feel unloved and ugly. Did you know that 50% of teenage girls feel overweight? Or anorexia is the 3rd chronic illness to teenagers? That is heartbreaking. You are beautiful. I'm not just saying this to have empty words, but instead my desire is to let everyone know you are beautiful. The Lord who is in Heavens loves you so much that He doesn't judge you from the outside and rip you apart, but instead He judges us from the inside. We are His Children who loves us so much beyond what our puny little human minds can fathom. He sent His Son so that we may experience His Love. You are God's Prince or Princess. When God created animals and the Earth, He spoke and then it just appeared. (Side note: I used to think God made everything out of a giant junkyard.:) But when He created Adam, God actually created us in His Image and gave us a breathe of life. We are special, and more importantly...loved by a flawless God. And for me, that is more then an enough.
