If you could have one prayer answered, what would it be and why?
This question hit me like a speeding train when it was featured on my church's bulletin this week. Here's what I would say:
For our generation to take our spots and rise up. That we have a broken down pride and a heart of humility to meet that universal need for love, the hope that never fails: Jesus. That God's Followers really do carry their cross daily, and that even in the trying times we feel our closeness to God. That we never give up no matter what the battle is, and when things are overwhelming us and captivating our freedom, that we turn to Jesus. That I'm not afraid to rise up and take a stand for God in my daily life. That I fix my eyes towards Jesus. That every person knows that Jesus' light shines brighter then the fiery sun and reaches higher than the galaxies, and the stars painted against a glossy black sky. That in the hardest times...we put God in control.
"You are the air I breathe,
Your the love I need,
Your my love my life,
Always forever.
And I would lay down my life, just to be by Your Side,
You are my love, my life,
Always forever."
-Always Forever, Phil Wickham
