My first short story on here. I hope you like it!
"You're broken again!" Tara said, in frustration as her gentle hand sewed up the broken, yet beloved, teddy bear.
"I'm sorry Tara. Professor Cuddles and I were just-" Maia tried to explain.
"You know what Maia? I've heard every excuse in the book! Why can't you just take care of him."
Mom saw the feud and stepped in. "Tara and Maia, do you remember what we learned in Sunday School?"
"I do! We learned about no matter how broken we are, God heals and forgives us every time." Maia added intellectually.
With that, Tara embraced Maia and handed her the stitched up teddy bear. "I'm really sorry for yelling at you Maia. Here is Professor Cuddles. You are forgiven."
Maia embraced her back. "No I am sorry. It was my fault and I'll be more careful next time."
That night, over hot chocolate and reading Psalms, the girl's relationship was healed. <3
Psalm 147:3 "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds."
