I feel led to write this post today, so here goes it. I really hope it makes sense and that the subject speaks to you as much as it speaks to me daily.
Beauty from the world is senseless. We do anything to catch the attention of the "significant other." We'll tan our bodies, and tone each and every muscle. We'll shorten our skirts, lower our necklines, and spend time primping and priming..for what? To feel loved? To feel accepted? We'll try on daring makeup looks, searching stores for the perfect outfit, all to end up feeling disappointed because yes, a cute outfit won't fight your battles for you. A cute outfit is not with you wherever you go. A cute outfit does not love you. And most importantly, a cute outfit will not die on the cross for your sins out of complete grace and love.
The good news is, God can. God is with you no matter what. He will fight your battles for you, and He is worthy to put your trust in. It's only in Him that fulfillment is reached. You can search all you want but you'll never really be content with who you are until you allow yourself to be in the loving hands of God. Stop running and come to Him. His beauty is real and genuine. He looks at you and sees a princess. The way He sees us shows that we have nothing to change, that we are beautiful in the eyes of the beholder. Nothing, nothing, nothing will ever be able to separate you from the love of God.
