A common reason why some people don't believe in God is that they don't believe God cares. I can't tell you how often I've been asked "If God loves me, then why did this happen? Does God care? 

Let me tell you, God does care for you. If He didn't care for you, you wouldn't be here today. You wouldn't be able to feel emotions, you wouldn't be able to live life the way you do. God loves  you more than anything in all creation. We are the only creation that God actually literally breathed into to give it life. He knows our every want, need, sin, thoughts, actions and yet still loves us the same.

I understand that this life is really, really hard. There may be events that you are going through that I couldn't even imagine. The doctor might have told you news that you weren't ever ready for. Your house may be going through destruction that is hard to bear. The economy may be breaking your heart more and more ever day. Whether its cancer, foreclosure, uncertainty, broken friendships, a terrible family life, divorce, death, abortion, secrets...God never intended for this to happen. He only intends good things for the people He loves. What you've been through is no reason to project that on our God. He deserves the respect to reign unchallenged and unparalleled.
