A lot of bloggers on Blogger use different words to sum up what they want their year to be like. Though the cold month of December has not arrived on the doorstep of Earth quite yet, I've been thinking about it and my word will have to be structured. I find myself yelling at the people I love too often because of stress or panic. Instead, I want to be structured: have my quiet time in the morning, school and homework, time with family, and then another quiet time to end the night. I want to volunteer more that I ever had and reach lost souls for Christ. I plan on becoming more involved in the clubs I am in and actually make a difference. Most of all, I long to be close to God more than I ever had before and love like Jesus loves. I'm using the D.E.S.P.E.R.A.T.E. acronym to achieve my stress-free structured, God-reliant life.
D- devotion. Reading my Bible, tithing faithfully, and praying.
E- excersise. Both spiritual and physical.
S- systematic study. Picking Scripture to meditate upon.
P- planning. What should I be expecting?
E- eat right. Am I respecting a temple of God?
R- reading for discipline. Leaders are readers!
A- attitude check. How am I serving?
T- truthfulness. How just are my ways?
E- energy management. How am I spending my time?
In doing, I will understand! Pray for strength for me!
