what will you be remembered as?

As I sit here, typing endlessly listening to an Oliver! soundtrack, many thoughts run through my head. I love having this time to think, to bittersweetly reflect on who I've been. As I mentally go over the wondering events of today, a single thought comes to my mind: What would happen if today was my last day? What would be the last words said? What would be remembered?

I asked some of my best friends what they would remember me as, and I was suprised by the answers. Most of them said that I was a nice person, others said they'd remember my typical giggle and my joyful expressions. After looking at all the results from the "study" I was amazed. But there is a question I must ask:
What will you be remembered as?

As I kick into the first series of the year, Background Check, its been really convicting to reflect on who I've been. What I've done. Drama I've caused. Sins I've commited. But what shocks me is this: the people in the Bible who were considered the best people often had big blunders like me. David commited adultry. Noah got drunk. Abraham lied.  Paul used to be a persucater. And yet, God accepted them and saved them. It wows me!

Our lives on Earth are extremely limited. If you caculate the orbit of the Earth and the timespan of people's life, our lives are caculated to be 3/5s of a second. What will you be doing during that 3/5's? Time is so important! We need to make our lives count with everything we have, it's an all-in type of thing. Personally I know how fast time flys because many people in my life have been struck with cancer. It's very eye-opening to see that our time is limited.

I hope during my "3/5s of a second" I"ll be helping others. Being a shoulder to cry on. Refuling passion in young adult's lives. Singing songs. Soaking up life. Being transparent with others.
But most of all, reflecting my sweet, sweet Jesus. <3
