I was watching television not too long ago when I heard the phrase “Goodness of my heart.” This kind of got me thinking because it simply is not us as nice as that may seem; it’s Christ in our hearts. Without Christ we could not do so because well…we are human and we make mistakes. Before I personally accepted Christ and became a Follower, I gossiped, lied, and hurt others. The changes I made to my life when I became a Follower was not my doing, but Christ is the one who have done so. I would have honestly lost the battle alone if I didn't have strength from Jesus to change my ways of living.
We are all servants of the Lord, not ourselves. Whether it is writing books or speaking, we all do have spiritual gifts used to praise Him and tell others about Christ. These gifts are not made for storage reasons, personal reasons, or showing off…but to glorify God and God alone. We must use these gifts not for our vanity, but to worship Christ every moment of every day. It makes sense doesn't it, to praise your Father, the one who is always with us, never leaves nor forsakes us, who gave us Spiritual Gifts, who created you and everything around you, and loves you unconditionally? <3
I hope this post helped you understand that it is not us doing these wonderful deeds, it is the Holy Spirit. For example, I sing in the worship band at the church I go to. Without the Holy Spirit guiding me for Strength and Wisdom, I would not be up there singing to God. Or the blogs I write. Or the daily decisions we both do.
