Waking up

This morning,I did not want to wake up. After pretending it was Saturday, grumbling, and some more complaining, I turned off the constant ringing alarm and woke up to start the day. Through this experience, however, I wondered if sometimes we can be the same way Spiritually. 

What I mean by this, is that sometimes we will be fast asleep, deep in dreams until we wake up. Then the alarm goes off, and it rings telling us to wake up from this dream and help others, but we moan and complain and trudge our feet when doing it. I know there are times when I have done so, making it seem like a chore when really it is not. When I wrote above about the constant ringing is important. We can refer to this Spiritually because sometimes we pretend like God isn't calling us to wake up, when really He is. We just need to listen. So lets start the day with a smile and remember that God created it for a reason, and let's let it go according to His Will not just in 5 years, but for everyday. Let's spread the word about Christ and wake up from the sleepiness of this world. Let's love people for the day is near and the night is ending, and show that God loves you and me and everyone.
Romans 13:11-12 NIV "And do this, understanding the present time. The hour has come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now then we first believed.  The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. "
