I was thinking about this one day and I was like:
Why can't we be like Spencer and the Magic Meatball?
I am not saying to go to the store and buy shaped meat for all your decisions. What I am trying to say is that we should trust God for every decision we make. Pray to God for what you need such as a good grade on a test. Then, do your part. Study for that test until you know that material and once that test happens, trust that you know that material and that God will help you through it. When you are sick, pray to God that you will find healing, then do your part and visit the doctor. God sent doctors for a reason: to help others. He didn't have doctors, nurses, teachers you name it to create some space in the world: He sent them to help others and to spread His Love. Believe it or not, you have a gift too! We can impact the world not because of us, but because of the Holy Spirit within us and help people.
God is not a genie lamp to rub Him when you need something. To me, it means through the good and bad, we need to praise Him. We can do this by:
1) Praying for Salvation. Trust me- even if you are a Christian we will still make mistakes. I try personally every night to really ask God for salvation and for Strength to get over my past. It really feels great to be renewed and saved. Don't cha thing?
2) Thank Him. My pastor Mikey once said that God is the first to blame and the last to thank. Lately I have really been thinking of this and trying to put it in my life. (Not the blaming part.) But I feel so blessed. I have clothes to wear and a wardrobe to choose from, instead of wearing the same thing every day. I have food to eat and a table to eat upon it. I feel so blessed! I feel blessed to go through hardships because we have a chance to really trust God through all of this. Thank you God! (:
3) Worship. It doesn't have to be Michael Buble style; God loves just to hear your voice! Believe me, there are days were I have been croaking like a frog, but not caring because God loves us! He loves just to hear simple words of praise. I love the songs mainly by Casting Crowns but currently I love "While I am waiting" by John Waller. God loves to hear your music and praises. (: Doesn't that feel comforting knowing we don't have to be on American Idol to sing to our Heavenly Father, the Healer of Broken hearts?
I pray that we as a Family can share God's word and not be discourage when life gets us down. I pray that we trust every move we make that Jesus will help us for He will never leave nor forsake us (Joshua 1:9) and that we can be like Spencer and the magic meatball, and trust that you will know the best way for us since with Your Hand and loving touch. You deserve all our praise and worship. We love you Lord!
Amen.
