Marching through March day 14

Today was church. The other singer -Payton (one of my closest friends) was out of town today so I was singing. We did "The Stand" and also "Mighty to Save."

Seriously I love worship. The Stand is such an overpowering song, if you haven't heard it I suggest checking it out. It makes me realize that God did give it all by sending His Son and having unconditional love for us. Francis Chan once said, " I want you to picture the one you love so much hung on a wooden cross." This for me was very emotional because just picturing someone you love unconditionally on a wooden cross with nails in their hands and feet and people spitting on them--that's hard to take. The thing that is so amazing however is the fact that He still loves us and wants to become close to us. That truly is better then any thing that will ever happen to us. <3

Mighty to save was also an amazing song. You know that feeling when you are young, and your learning just how to read and it feels so hard and you feel like giving up--then before you know it you are reading Dr. Seuss books? That's how I feel about this song. We are still learning how to live in a way that Christ would. There are days where it is going to be so  hard you feel like giving up and going back to the way you used to be. Like you feel like mud or dirt or an ant. But we don't have to worry because by surrendering ourselves to God and trusting Him  in every step we make and every breath we take we can get through those terrible no good days.  


I learned a lot today during worship, not to just sing the songs or the lyrics, but to worship the Almighty God of the Universe and surrendering ourselves to the one who gave us life, meaning not caring what others thing or following the customs of this world-- that's what it is all about.
