Marching through March Day 6

Today is day 6! I'm almost done with the first week. (:

We had to dress up today for a ceremony at a beach. I happen to love dressing up, the process and the way you know how its not something you can do everyday makes it special. I wore a black tank dress with black leggings and a pink peacoat.
On the way there, my brothers and I were listening to Spike Jones, which was really fun because his songs are crazy. lol. It was so beautiful because the sky was all gray with clouds, the look before the rain, and the mountains so large and vast. We have a wonderful Creator!!!!!!!!!! When we passed by a 1-800-GET-THIN billboard and like a hundred different self-improvement things, I realized how much we tend to be of ourselves, and unwilling to serve others until we serve ourselves. We can change this by putting ourselves last on the list!

O- others
Y- yourselves
When we went to the ship, we got a tour of the ship. It blew me away. The things that the Navy goes through is incredible! They wake up at 4:30 every morning and fight for our freedom. And they do not expect special treatment..they are so nice and willing to answer people's questions. Visiting this ship made me really realize the meaning behind all those "Pray for our troops" bumper stickers. They really do need prayer-- so now I am praying for them every day and maybe one day sending them care packages. That seems like lots of fun. =)

The best part is while we were in the beach, it didn't rain like crazy, just a little bit. I feel SO thankful that it didn't ruin our nice dresses and suits which is super good.

After we went on the ship, we pigged out on Carl's Jr. I had a delicious kids meal (don't judge me) with chicken stars, fries, and Dr. Pepper. Yum.
I'm SO ready for Day 7 because God is holding my hand through not only this series...but every single day of my life!
