Father, teach me

Father teach me wisdom, to be able to make the right choices and not grieve Your Holy Spirit. Help me in the pains of gaining wisdom, that I can remember the importance of it and continue to persevere in the goal of being wise. Help me remember that I can only gain wisdom from You, Father and not any human minds or worldly objects.

Father teach me obedience, to be able to obey Your Word and Your Commands. Father I knew You gave me these for a reason, and though it is hard at times, I would rather obey You then conform to the world's patterns. Father I know You have commanded these so I can have a rich and abundant life, and today I am ready to say "Yes" to obeying.

Father teach me humbleness, to be able to serve the least of these and not become conceited. Help me remember that I am an unworthy sinner, saved by Your Grace. You know my struggles with trying to stay humble, but I know that You love me and You are willing to help me overcome becoming conceited and vain; and use me as Your Vessel to serve others.

Father teach me joy, to be able to share the joy that You give me daily in any circumnstance. I know I will become persucated by my faith, but it is worth everything. Father help me be able to be joyful in Your Word and the life and love You have given me so that I might be able to be a Light to someone who is having a bad day, and needs Your Joy and Presence in their life. Help me be able to "rejoice with those who rejoice" and "mourn with those who mourn" and show true love, Your Love to them.
