this thanksgiving

His Love endures through every season, through the dry season and the harvest.
His Love endures through every circumstance, in the fires and the rain.
His Love endures through everything, gloriously tearing down our walls and giving us the freedom that our inmost souls crave.
His Love endures forever, through the good news and the news that seems impossible to take.
His Love endures through my selfishness, through my envy, through who I've been.

Have you ever meditated on how much God loves us? He created the world so beautiful so that we would praise Him, that our hearts would be aligned with Him in the glorious out bringing of praise. He created light so we wouldn't have to walk alone, that we would always have something to guide us in. He created us with the most wonderful talents and gifts from us. Since the beginning of time, He's had a plan for our lives, a purpose for us to live life out loud, that we are abundant and prosperous. He sent His Son to die for us and rise again, that our life of mourning would be a life of rejoicing, that our wardrobe of sackcloth would be a wardrobe of robes.

This Thanksgiving, thank God. Embrace Him, seek His Face, get on your knees and cry out to Him, sing praises....whatever you have to do to give thanks to Him. He deserves it. =]
