This song, has to be in my top favorites for worship songs. Each word so specifically examines an area of my life and brings me closer to God. I know it's not the song, or the lyrics, or the composition, or even the singer, but instead all glory belongs to the Holy Spirit.
It's a song about forgiveness, about going back to the life promised in Scripture. It's about admitting you are broken and asking for God's help.
I want you to know how beautiful you are both inside and out. Nobody can ever change or take that away from you. I want you to know how unnecessary makeup and worrying about what to wear is, because God sees you as a princess no matter what complexion you have, if your nail polish is chipped, or if your go-to outfit is a tee shirt and jeans. His love reaches so much farther than what a guy on Earth can offer. Don't settle for anything less than you deserve. You are a child of God, and you deserve the absolute best for your life. Being a girl myself I know how dramatic things can get. I know how it feels to have a rumor started after you, to be called derogatory words, to feel like you are alone in this life. My best advice: let go. Tell God everything. Tell Him all your doubts, fears, dreams, motives, and cries. Every possible feeling that you could ever feel, tell Him. He's your Daddy. You might have grown up with a disrespectful father, and my heart cries after that. But God is different. He wants to take you under His wing and make everything alright. He's your Daddy, your anchor in the midst of the storm. Trust Him because with Him, things get better.
You are fearfully and wonderfully made, made for a promise and a future. Don't give up because tomorrow will be better.
